NEWSLETTER SEPT 24

Welcome to the official Jaguars UK and Ireland newsletter.

After what seems like a very short summer, football is back and we are excited for Week 1 this Sunday against the Dolphins at their Hard Rock Stadium, and in celebration of the new season, we have a great newsletter full of information and offers just for you!

I spent some time in Jacksonville last month and was fortunate enough to meet with Coach Pederson and Trent Balke to discuss the UK and Ireland and all the great things we do over here to support the team.  They had already heard great things about the Summer Tour from Special Teams Heath Farwell; and both Coach and Trent very supportive and enthusiastic about our strategy to grow the Jaguars brand and are very much looking forward to back-to-back games again. Much more to come on what London weeks have to offer.

This week we launch another episode of TealTalk, the official UK and Ireland podcast and Jay was joined by birthday boy, Evan Engram. Along with all the great insights around training camp and the start of the season, he made a very interesting comment about a potential celebration if he were to score a touchdown this October at Wembley Stadium, which has had everyone in the London team guessing about what he may do I have my thoughts, what about you guys!?

Our Sky Sports show launches next week, and host Reece Parkinson was in Jax for training camp where he got so much amazing access to the team for the show – all exclusive to us. Make sure you tune in to Sky Sports NFL from next Wednesday 11th September from 9 p.m. to see who he caught up with, and where he will discuss results from Week 1 of the season. And don’t worry if you miss it, we will post all the best stuff on our YouTube channel, so you can catch up here: https://www.youtube.com/@jaguarsuk

Speaking of Sky, Neil Reynolds, the face of Sky’s NFL coverage was also over in Jacksonville for training camp where he met with  some of our roster, and you can read his preview of the season here: https://jaguars.co.uk/seasonpreview

Great news if you don’t have access to any of the paid channels that will be showing our game live this Sunday, we have an agreement with talkSPORT to broadcast some of our games live this season. This first one being the season opener on Sunday. talkSPORT will carry Jaguars commentary, so you’ll hear all the familiar voices calling the game, but free to air on their channels.

In other news, our fantastic sponsor A.O. is using tickets from their partnership allocation and donating them as a prize for one lucky subscriber to win tickets to our game at Tottenham Hotspur stadium Vs the Bears on Sunday 17th October.  Make sure you don’t miss out on this opportunity to win.  Follow the link from the homepage of this newsletter!

As I mentioned, we will have lots more information for you on our  game week activities in next month’s newsletter, but as a taster we will of course be having our usual pub parties where we’ll be joined by the ROAR of the Jaguars and alumni, plus store signings and limited open practice tickets to actually see the guys going through their routines prior to the game day. We are very excited for London, but there’s plenty of football to be played before then, so enjoy the start of the season!

Oh, and by the way, did you see who signed to our practice squad this month… the UK’s own Louis Rees Zammit is now a Jaguar!  Follow his journey (and more) on our UK and Ireland social channels.  Plus much more special insight and information to follow on LR-Z’s journey in Jacksonville!

Until next time

It was always the Jags!
