Girls Jag Tag Event

Hello and welcome to the Jaguars UK newsletter.

We have had a very busy summer so far in the Jaguars UK office, with a lot of exciting things happening; and we can’t wait to tell you all about them.

Hot off the press, is the announcement of Jags Country, a country music concert on Thursday evening September 28th at OVO Arena, Wembley.  This is a brand-new event that will help us kick off a week of Jaguars activity and celebrations in the lead up to our tenth game in London and playing back-to-back games.

US country legend, Clint Black will headline the show, supported by Brian Kelley. Brian is best known as a member of Florida George Line.  Other notable talent performing is up-and-coming country artist Tyler Rich, with London based American talent, Alyssa Bonagura, and the Irish duo Dea Matrona completing our exciting line up. Jags Country will be hosted by our very own JP. Shadrick and the evening will combine Jaguars football and country music with on-stage performances by the Roar, our team mascots, and conversations with Hall of Famer Tony Boselli.  We are working on a real celebration of all things Country music and Jaguars football, and are very much  looking forward to bringing fans of music and football together to have a truly great “Jacksonville Jaguars” evening. Tickets will be on general sale from August 15th, but you can register for pre-sale access by using this link. jaguars.co.uk/jagscountry

At the beginning of July, we completed our second annual player tour, visiting London, Liverpool, Belfast, and Edinburgh and as you may have seen by Jamal Agnew’s response when asked the question by the U.S. social team, he had a blast!

Our UK Live events were all sold out, and the community activity was exceptional with the players meeting hundreds of young JagTag participants, coaching, signing autographs and having a great time.  Check out all the action in the link to the “Tour Round Up”.  We’re already thinking about where we will go next summer.  Got any ideas???

Our Foundation team organised an all-girl JagTag tournament in Manchester. It was a fantastic day as you can see from the photographs and a first for the Jaguars in the UK with all female participants. The day was filled with skills & drills sessions combining throwing, catching, and evading tactics.  The educational sessions were followed by a 5v5 tournament with the final two teams playing for ‘JagTag Regional Champion’.   St Annes Primary, Ancoats, Manchester took the title, and we want to congratulate them on their win, and all the other girls that participated.

NFL Training camp is up and running in the US, and we are all getting excited for the season ahead.  You may have seen the opening of our fantastic new training facility, the Miller Electric Centre, in Jacksonville, which looks incredible.  Reece Parkinson, host of Jaguars UK Weekly Show on Sky Sports NFL, is travelling to Jacksonville this month to catch up with Head Coach Doug Pederson and some of our players for exclusive interviews and behind the scenes access which will be included in the show during the season. If you have anything you’d really like to see, or ask one of the players, why don’t you drop it in the comments on our social channels using the hashtag #ReeceinJax and we’ll be sure to pass them along for when he’s across the pond.

Until next time,

#ItWasAlwaysTheJags!
