Hello and welcome to the Jaguars UK newsletter.
Well, it’s finally here – the countdown to the new NFL season is on, and we are beyond pumped after last season’s incredible finish. I have just returned from a trip to Jacksonville and was fortunate enough to sit down with Coach Pederson, and Trent Baalke to discuss the upcoming London trip and the events we have planned, some of which I will share with you in this newsletter. Coach and Trent were on great form and very excited to talk London! They want to ensure we are doing our best to prepare the team for the games, as well as getting out in the community to show our support for all our fans in the UK!
Everyone in Jacksonville is busy preparing for Spirit Week. I am thrilled to share that we will be running a competition exclusively for UK fans to honour Spirit Week where you could win your very own ‘virtual autograph’ from two of our star players Travis Etienne and Tank Bigsby . You’ll get to say hi to them on screen, as they sign an autograph for you there and then. Pretty cool! Details are on the link in this newsletter.
Jags Country, the first of its kind and the biggest celebration of the Jaguars and country music, is only a few weeks away and will kick off our game week in style. As a fan of the Jaguars, you won’t want to miss this opportunity to see The Roar perform, say hello to Tony Boselli, buy your Jags merch and see some of America’s best country music artists perform. The show is on Thursday evening September 28th at OVO Arena, Wembley, with Jags very own JP Shadrick hosting the evening. Brian Kelley, Tyler Rich, Alyssa Bonagura, and Irish duo Dea Matrona, will join Clint Black as he headlines the event.

In other news, we recently concluded panel interviews for our Gridiron Grant award, which is made possible by our partnership with LGT Wealth Management U.S, the recipients of the award are Miles Butt and Paris McLeggan-Milner, two excellent candidates that showed us a lot of great characteristics and we are sure they will be fantastic ambassadors for the programme. Congratulations Miles, and Paris.
Wednesday 6 September will see our Jaguars UK Weekly show return for another season on Sky Sports NFL. As I mentioned previously, Reece Parkinson was in Jacksonville for training camp, so the show this year will have some great behind the scenes footage from his trip; player interviews with a focus on the UK, so don’t forget to tune in. Finally, as we approach the Wembley game with great momentum, I wanted to share information on some of the fun stuff we have planned for our back-to-back game weeks in London. We will again have an open training at the team hotel, organised pub parties and player signings, all of which are open to you, our fans! More details on how to apply for slots and where events are happening are to follow very soon. Plus, a full schedule of everything the team will do in the community.
