Today the NFL announced the dates of its International Games to be played in London during October 2023.  For the Jaguars this marks an historic occasion as they will kick off the games on October 1st with a home game Vs the Atlanta Falcons at Wembley Stadium, and then play on the road the following week at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Vs the Buffalo Bills.

By playing consecutive games in London the Jaguars will be in the Capital for 10 days, which presents greater opportunities for fan engagement and special events that are otherwise difficult to deliver with the team traditionally in market for only three days during each previous home game in London.

Since first playing in London in 2013, the Jaguars have developed their own dedicated fan base in the UK, called The Union Jax, and continue to expand grassroots initiatives throughout the Country under the Union Jax Foundation umbrella, with a recent funding bid achieved from Wembley National Stadium Trust (WNST) to deliver their flagship JagTag programme in schools around Brent.

The addition of a road game in London in 2023 has no impact on the Jaguars’ home schedule, which traditionally features a home game at Wembley Stadium.

“We are excited to again compete in the NFL’s International Games and face off against the Falcons and Bills in London,” Trevor Lawrence, Jacksonville Jaguars QB, said. “Hosting the Falcons at Wembley Stadium will be awesome only to be followed by playing on the road against the Bills at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. I’m pumped for the experience and know the support from Duval will be strong at both games.”

Maria Gigante, Vice President of UK Operations at the Jaguars said: “We are delighted to be the first team to ever play back-to-back games in London, which is fitting as the Jaguars are very much the UK’s team.

“Playing in London is always a fantastic occasion, and we are committed to making Wembley the most authentic NFL home game experience for the fans and team, and with the addition of a game on the road versus the Bills we have a great opportunity to engage for a much longer period – and we have some very exciting things planned.”

Tickets for the game will go on sale following the announcement of the full season’s fixture list, scheduled later this week.
